Our project is dedicated to giving Japanese artists such as Ayumi Hamasaki a way to transmit their message to the rest of the world. For all the fans who cannot understand Japanese, we want to make sure that you can still appreciate the lyrics.

“The Way to Say” translate and adapt J-Pop songs into singable English, and also perform them in English ourselves. Unlike many accomplished songwriters who make English cover versions using their own lyrics, our lyrics are all true to the original Japanese. With the exception of “Tasking”, which was originally an instrumental, we do not put our own lyrics to J-Pop songs. This project is intended to bring the artists’ lyrics to English-speaking people.

You can use our lyrics for karaoke, or as enhanced translations of your favourite songs. Feel free to make cover versions, but please credit us if you use our work.

Ayu is currently visiting England again, and this time the word is she could be staying for a month! Fans again have gone down to meet her in London, and she is as friendly as ever. She’s been meeting and greeting, accepting presents, singing autographs, and posing for photos with fans.

It’s a surprise to us, because we assumed our most popular English versions would be of Ayu songs! I guess a lot of our visitors are w-inds fans. Also, it’s nice to know that our version of “Oasis” is well liked, since we’re particularly proud of that one (*^_^*)

At the end of this year we will check the numbers to see what 2011′s most popular downloads were.

Ayu must be visiting Europe! Whether it’s a publicity trip, a meet-and-greet, or video shooting, it’s definitely something to be excited about if you live in Europe. When she visited London she was greeted by many fans from Europe who had travelled to England especially to see her, so now she knows that she has a fan-base in Europe.

We are one step closer to getting an Ayu concert tour in Europe! Yay!
